Lampair Diamond.
The geometry of fragrance.
Lampair Diamond is a catalytic room fragrance lamp designed by Michele Venisti for Millefiori Milano. Its faceted body recalls a cut gemstone: an object that brings fragrance diffusion together with the design of a home accessory.

The project
Giving form to fragrance.
The project interprets the catalytic lamp as an object to leave on display. Diamond belongs to Millefiori Milano’s Lampair collection and brings the fragrance reservoir and diffusion system together in a compact volume. After the initial lighting stage, fragrance diffusion continues with the flame extinguished, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The design gives this product type a distinctive identity. The reservoir extends horizontally, while the upper element introduces a vertical accent. Its low proportions and faceted surface make the diffuser recognisable even when it is not in use, on a table, shelf or other piece of furniture.
The decorative quality comes from the shape itself: the reference to a gemstone is created through the planes of the body, without an applied surface pattern.

The design detail
Facets define its character.
Diamond’s body is defined by inclined faces that meet along distinct edges. In the black version shown, the glossy finish highlights these transitions: each plane reflects light differently and reveals the volume as the viewpoint changes.
A simpler, regular cylindrical element rises from the centre, marked by vertical openings. Its matt finish contrasts with the glossy body. The design detail lies in this balance of surfaces and proportions: the broad base recalls a cut stone, while the upper part connects the form to the diffuser’s function.
