Fragrance in a sculptural form.
Lampair Squared is a catalytic room diffuser designed by Michele Venisti for Millefiori Milano. Angled planes, softened edges and a black finish define a geometric volume that makes fragrance part of the interior.

The project
An object to look at, as well as use.
Lampair Squared explores the relationship between a diffuser’s function and its presence in the home. The fragrance container takes on a sculptural form, recognisable even when the product is not in use. The composition relies on a few broad surfaces joined by distinct changes in angle.
Light reveals the design: some faces remain in shadow, while others catch brighter reflections. In the black version shown, these transitions highlight the body’s outline and edges. Geometry becomes the feature that defines the object on a shelf or a piece of furniture.
Squared belongs to Millefiori Milano’s Lampair collection. Following an initial lighting stage, the catalytic system continues to diffuse fragrance with the flame extinguished, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The project brings this function and the design of the container together in a single object for the home.
The design detail
Planes, edges and an opening.
The opening at the top interrupts the continuity of the surfaces and offers a glimpse of the burner. Its edge follows the angular design of the body, creating a direct relationship between the functional element and the volume around it. In the view shown, the triangular opening draws attention to the upper part of the diffuser.
A horizontal line marks the transition between the upper and lower surfaces. Their opposing inclinations create Squared’s faceted profile, while the dark finish holds the composition together. Slightly rounded edges and small irregularities in the ceramic soften the geometry. The product’s character comes from this balance of solid forms and openings, light and shadow.
