Margarita is a stool with a clock, designed by Michele Venisti and produced by Indarte. The clock face built into the seat brings together two everyday actions: checking the time and stopping for a break. A furnishing piece with an unexpected detail for kitchens and places where people meet.

The project
Check the time before you sit down.
Margarita brings together two familiar objects: a stool and a clock. The clock face leaves the wall and becomes a surface to sit on. The numbers and hands reveal themselves as you approach, turning an everyday gesture into a small moment of surprise.
The two functions alternate naturally. When the seat is empty, Margarita shows the time; when someone sits down, the clock face disappears from view. This transition gives the project its meaning: time can be measured, but also forgotten during a conversation or a break.
A sense of humour accompanies an immediately recognisable form. The round seat and slender legs retain the familiar shape of a stool, while the clock gives it an identity of its own. Beside a kitchen island, Margarita joins in everyday moments: waiting for coffee, chatting, taking a seat.
The design detail
The clock face becomes a seat.
The design starts with the circular shape of a clock. The rim frames the numbers and hands, while the rounded volume beneath the seat connects the clock face to the four legs. Glossy surfaces reflect their surroundings and emphasise the contrast between the compact seat and the slender structure.
In the tall version, a circular footrest echoes the geometry of the clock face and visually connects the legs. The circle appears at two different heights, giving continuity to the composition. Margarita’s defining detail remains at the top, where the surface of the seat is also the surface on which the time is read.
