A refillable car diffuser designed for Salimbeni Profumi. The carbon fibre cover gives the accessory its character, while a system without liquids or gels releases fragrance through the airflow.

The project
A small object with a distinctive presence.
The Salimbeni car diffuser combines fragrance diffusion with a carefully considered visual presence. Designed by Michele Venisti, it fits into the car interior as an accessory that can also be chosen for its relationship with the surrounding materials and finishes.
In this version, the carbon fibre cover defines the product’s character. The surface weave becomes part of the design: a detail with a technical language that connects the diffuser to the car interior.
The project brings together two aspects of the experience: the presence of the object, expressed through its cover, and the presence of fragrance throughout the cabin. The diffuser becomes a small way to personalise an everyday space.
The design detail
The fragrance changes. The object stays.
The supplied clip attaches the diffuser to the air vents. Passing air helps release fragrance into the cabin without using liquids or gels.
The system separates the product body from the scented refill: when the fragrance runs out, the refill is replaced while the diffuser is retained. A simple action allows the accessory to stay in use and a new scent to be chosen.
Salimbeni gives an approximate fragrance duration of one month. For available fragrances and current instructions, see the manufacturer’s technical information.
