Wood Flower.
The flower diffuses, the wood holds.
Wood Flower is a room diffuser designed by Michele Venisti for Millefiori Milano. A turned wooden sphere houses the fragrance bottle; instead of conventional reeds, a flower made from thin rattan strips releases fragrance into the air.

The project
A diffuser designed to remain on display.
The design brings together two forms: the compact sphere and the light, open flower. The base gives the diffuser the presence of a small furnishing object, while the petals make the fragrance-diffusing element visible.
Wood grain remains part of the design. The photographs show dark and light finishes: the surface changes character, while the relationship between container and flower remains the same.

The design detail
A concealed bottle, functional petals.
The turned wooden sphere encloses a plastic bottle that holds the fragrance. Wood defines the outer volume, while a separate container acts as the reservoir.
The flower consists of thin rattan strips shaped into petals. It is not an added decoration: it is the component that diffuses fragrance, turning a technical function into a recognisable feature.
